Why now
There's no shortage of CMSes. Webflow for designers, Contentful for developers, Ghost for authors, Notion for everyone-and-no-one. Pick the one that hurts least and live with the rest.
We tried that. We kept hitting a specific wall: regulated industries — insurance, healthcare, ops, financial services — need their content to survive an audit, replay any past state, and ship to more channels than a website. The market's CMSes are great at editing. They're terrible at the audit trail. Most don't even pretend to support multi-channel publishing.
So we built one that does.
What StaticOwl gives you
- Zero-downtime publishing. Press the button; the site flips, atomically.
- Roll back to anywhere. A bad release is undone by activating an older snapshot. Instant. The old version is still there.
- An audit trail your auditor accepts. Every change tracked, tamper-evident, replayable, exportable.
- Author once, ship everywhere. Web, email, social, signage, QR — same content.
- AI in your voice. Voice profile clamps every AI surface to your brand tone.
- Reviews that stay honest. An approval is bound to the version it covers. Edit after approval, the review re-fires.
- An MCP server. Drive the CMS from Claude Desktop, Cursor, your own agent.
What we don't have yet
- Self-serve signup. We're working with design partners directly.
- Multi-region edge replication. Currently us-east-1; coming for Enterprise.
- Customer logos. We're pre-customer; we want yours.
